Profile
Prof. Lihua Dong is currently the executive vice dean of the Institute of Marine Materials Science and Technology at Shanghai Maritime University. She joined in Shanghai Maritime University in 2003. She was awarded the title of Shanghai Municipal dawn scholar and was selected into the program of “Cross Century Key Peoples of the Mechanized Industry Department” and the program of “ The First Level Candidates of New Century Talent Project of Ministry of Communications ” in 2004 and 2006 respectively . Now she is in the Shanghai metal materials modified engineering technology research center of Technology Committee.
Since 2003, Prof. Dong has undertaken over 50 scientific research projects, including projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and some ministry level projects. And she has published over 70 papers in the scientific journals and applied over 30 patents. In recent years she won more than 10 scientific and technological progress awards from national, provincial and ministerial level. Prof. Dong´s current research focuses on equipment development of the ocean environment engineering.
